Posted on Wed, 9 Nov 2016
Question: For over a month now, I have been experiencing a moderate to dull ache in my right shoulder/arm, and upper right side of my chest. I tire easily and quickly get short of breath with little exertion. Have been feeling lethargic and run down, and lacking much energy.

Brief Answer:
Supportive care , needs work up and management.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Shoulder / arm pain with upper chest involvement and and shortness of breath on mild exertion with easy fatigability at the age of 60 should be evaluated first of all to heart functions, a baseline ECG followed by echocardiography be done and if need be proceeded accordingly to sort out the cardiac cause of this pain.

Once heart problems are ruled out, then gastric discomfort like acid reflux, gastritis, gall bladder issues, anxiety and musculoskeletal pains can be put in list of differentials of this chest pain radiating to arm and shoulder. Talk to your doctor and let them decide what is best for you.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
