What Causes Pain In The Area Of Gall Bladder And Bloating?

default
Posted on Mon, 19 May 2014
Question: Hello.. I am a 46 year old female in general good health. I do not smoke, drink alcohol or take any type of drugs or smoke pot. I eat fair to good, stay away from gluten and have been juicing for several months and love it! I've recently (2-3 months?) been experiencing pain in the area of my gall bladder. I've been to my doctor and she ordered an ultra sound scan of the abdomen and everything came back clear and within normal limits.-- no kidney or gall stones. Next up is a CT scan as I continue to have moderate crampy pain and bloating on a regular basis. My doc diagnosed me with "Chronic Gallbladder inflammation. My pain is located right after the last rib on each side and I'm wondering if my pancreas and stomach are inflamed as well. How would I know if I had cancer? My recent blood work did not indicate any elevation in WBC. This discomfort is causing me a lot of stress and concern and I REALLY do not want to have my gallbladder removed. I prefer to try natural/home remedies and proceed with conventional medicine if further interventions are needed. What are your thoughts and suggestions? Thank you!

Brief Answer:
You might be having gastritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, it seems that you might be having gastritiswhich can be due to excessive intake of juices.

You should take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with Domperidone 30mg.

Following precautions will be helpful :-
1.Avoid spicy and oily foods.
2.Avoid being empty stomach for long periods.
3.Avoid mental and emotional stress.
4.Avoid sour foods and drinks like juices.
5.Avoid aerated drinks like cold drinks.
6.Avoid gas producing foods like peas, cabbage, legumes, etc.
7.Avoid eating fast and talking while eating.
8.Drink lots of water daily.

If the symptoms persists, get an Endoscopy done.

I hope this is helpful to you.
If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Thanks.
