What Causes Pain In Testicles And Leg?

default
Posted on Mon, 14 Apr 2014
Question: I had pain in my testicles and leg. I showed a urologist who did a color doppler which showed nothing but a bit of varicocele. The doctor prescribed some medicine and said it will go away slowly. After almost 8 months the pain in testicles have almost gone but there is lot of pain in legs which originate from testicles. The pain is mainly in feet wherein I feel that someone is pressing the nerves. I feel like there is some pain in the veins itself in both the legs. I even had a full body MRI scan done which showed nothing. My blood pressure is also high sometimes for which recently doctor prescribed me Trivalzaar. Please suggest was forward.

Brief Answer: Can be due to many causes. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for posting your query. The pain in the legs and feet with a normal MRI scan can be due to muscle spasm; hypothyroidism; myositis; plantar fasciitis; electrolyte imbalance; fibromyalgia or multiple sclerosis. It can be treated by (1) treating the underlying cause (2) keeping yourself well hydrated (3) stretching exercises of the legs (4) the use of anti inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen, cataflam with meals provided there are no contraindications to their use (5) a muscle relaxant may be necessary It may be best, if possible to visit your doctor for a thorough assessment and treatment plan. All the above causes can be ruled out by a neurophysician after some tests and examination. I hope this answers your query. Thanks a lot Sir for your quick response. Can the leg pain be a result of increased Varicoceal? What kind of tests will be required to know the exact nature of problem? Please suggest some medicine to relive pain. Currently I am on docs advise taking Prelogic and Semi Ultracet. Please also suggest doctor in Mumbai, near Mulund. Thanks for the help in advance.

Brief Answer: You are taking a pain killer already. Detailed Answer: Hello. Thanks for writing again. The leg pain is not likely to be due to varicocele. You will need to get a few blood tests and MRI scan done. You are already taking the pain medication. You can get an appropriate muscle relaxant prescribed from an orthopedician after a direct examination and proper investigations.
