What Causes Pain In Right Side Of My Body?

Question: I am 55 and 163 cm weight 76 kg. Is it possible that my pain on my right side is my gall bladder?? I do eat some fatty foods and I drink wine. My pain has continued for over a week. It is constantly there. My father died from bowel and liver cancer at 77. I take endep for sleep and mersydol night strength for pain.

Brief Answer: Yes, it is possible Detailed Answer: Hi. Yes, it is possible that the pain may be due to infection or stones in the gall bladder. Since the pain is there for over a week and there is a history in the family, I would recommend you to undergo Ultrasonography of the abdomen ASAP to find out the the cause. And go for blood investigation to rule out any medical problems. A Contrast enhanced CT scan would be advisable to confirm the findings on ultrasonography. Please continue your medicines - endep and mersydol as before.
