Brief Answer:
painful nipple

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Nipples can become irritated or sore due to friction. Running (“jogger’s nipple”/runner's nipples- an irritation caused by clothes that rub against the skin.)sometimes causes temporary nipple problems due to vigorous rubbing.

Mastitis - an infection of breast tissue beneath the nipple can cause pain in the nipple on one side.

Nutritional alterations such as protein and fat deprivation; endocrine disorders (hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism); and hepatic disease (nonalcoholic and alcoholic cirrhosis) can initiate gynecomastia causing breast tissue tenderness including nipple.
Gynecomastia usually painless but aged person with gynaecomastia may have little pain.It may be unilateral.
