What Causes Pain In Mid-back And Upper Abdomen?

default
Posted on Mon, 24 Aug 2015
Question: I have pain on both sides of my spine mid back and middle upper abdomen since yesterday. Thought it was maybe gas because of the pain on my abdomen. Seem to lessen in uncomfortablness late last nigh but has now come back again. I have had a bowl movement, and I have taken a gaxx and took Gavolox not at the same time. I have only drank fluids today. Then I thought maybe it was just pain in my back if my bra strap was bothering it. but why would that cause upper abdominal pain as well.

the upper back pain and upper abdomen pain feels like after I had a multiple PE many years (2009) ago but I did not have any symptoms like before leading up to the DVT then multiple PE

Brief Answer:
This looks to be stomach pain. Start treatment and observe precautions

Detailed Answer:
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I will take care all of your medical concerns.

This seems to be the pain in stomach and you need to take over the counter available Omeprazole. One before breakfast, one before dinner. This kind of pain occurs due to the acidity in the stomach. The back pain on both sides of the spine seem to be muscular pain and for that you may take massage with topical analgesic ointment like Bengay Ultra Stretch Gel.

You don't need to remain only on fluids. Just take normal diet. Avoid fast spicy food, soda, coffee, tea and energy drinks. Don't take pain medications at your own as it may increase pain.

Have a wonderful time ahead. Hope I answered all of your questions. Let me know if you have any further clinical concerns. I will be happy to get back to you shortly. If satisfied here, please give a five star rating and don't forget to close the discussion.
