Brief Answer:
Could be spinal origin

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

I understand how debilitating pain can be, especially if it is long standing.
Here are my suggestions

1. Shooting type of pain is usually spinal origin, I suggest you to get a CT of the cervical segment done to look for nerve compression
2. My second differential diagnosis would be fibromyalgia, especially since it is coming for the trapezius, you are on the right treatment for it

I also recommend alternative therapy in such cases like yoga and mediation. Ayurveda is good options for chronic pain, please explore this option. Go to a good established ayurvedic doctor

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

My Ct was of my neck and head I do believe. What is a yurvedic? Nausea is something else I deal with. Should I ask my doctors anything else. I also had a nerve block on the 15th.

Brief Answer:
Fibromyalgia

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for getting back with the clarifications, I am sorry for the short delay in my reply there was a family emergency which I had to attend.

If the CT was of the head and neck then there is no need to investigate further. It most likely to be fibromyalgia and you are on the right treatment for it.

Ayurveda is ancient XXXXXXX medicine where the treatment is through plant extracts and derivatives. It has evolved parallel to english medicine as alternative form of treatment just like accupunture.
I always suggest my patients to try alternative medicine especially in chronic pains as accupuncture and ayurveda have given good results.

I am once again sorry for the delay in my reply

Regards
