What Causes Pain In Knees And Muscles After Having Collagen Hydrolysate Drink?
Question: Hello,
I have been taking Collage CH Alpha ( Collagen Hydrolysate) for around 50 days. each bottle (drink) contains 10g of collagen hydrolysate fortigel. it's very high in concentration.
I took this for skin beauty purposed only. but the product main purpose is joint health.
After 50 days of using this, I feel a pain in my knees, pain in muscles ( I feel like I was training in GYM for 1 whole day!). I feel fatigue and decreased overall energy. Also my blood pressure is lower than my usual rate. I feel my body is shaking inside, also my fingers shake when I use XXXXXXX phone. I feel heat in my muscles. The muscles I'm referring to are triceps and biceps and abdominal muscles. ( Currently I don't exercise any kind of sports at all, so my pain is not XXXXXXX t physical activity)
So do you think What I feel is because the Collagen? I hear there are no side effects for collagen. But is it possible that it causes joint pain even though it's prescribed for those who suffer joint problems? I am 26 years, and prior to taking collagen I had no problems in my muscles or joints.
Please note that I take 1 pill of B6 daily concurrently with the Collagen.

It may have some side effects which may not be documented.
It does not cause joint pain who already have joint pain. There joint pain reduces due to increased collagen production after taking this supplement.
Collagen hydrolysate is made from animal extract so low antigenic reaction can lead to symptoms which you are facing.Some individual may face antigenic reaction ,not all.
I will advise to stop it for few weeks and see for reduction in symptoms.
