Brief Answer:
Information on musculoskeletal pain:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome:

I'm sorry you are having this problem.

Once there is a strain in the back or hip muscles, it can affect many other muscles. And back pain can cause constipation too. Exercises specific to the strained muscles that started all this might help. For this you would need to go in to see your doctor or perhaps you are able to self refer to physical therapy.

However, I see that you wrote that you have a UTI and are on an antibiotic for it. If the pain in the back is in the flank - the are of the kidney, which is behind your waist - this may be caused by a uti that is involving the kidney. Especially if you are running a fever, have nausea or feel overall ill.

I am also wondering about the antibiotic - they can sometimes caused constipation (although usually diarrhea is more likely). And certain ones can cause muscle aches. In particular, Cipro can cause this.

So those are some things to think about. If I can help further, please let me know.

Brief Answer:
Treating the constipation

Detailed Answer:
Perhaps treating the constipation will help some of the symptoms. I don't know what you have tried so far but I'd do the following, in a step wise fashion if no relief:

1. Stewed prunes or prune juice
2. Bisacodyl (Dulcolax)
3. Fleet enema

Did these pains start during or immediately after the antibiotic? Was the antibiotic Cipro?
