Question: Hello, my girlfriend and I last had sex last Thursday. We did go rough, and however briefly tried anal. Afterward her tailbone and lower back and right butt cheek have been hurting her ever since. Almost a week later it still hurts her, it has been improving slowly over the course of the week, but she is still having great difficulties sitting and doing other simple tasks. She has tried many things, including massages, warming pads, etc... they seem to help a little but nothing have gotten rid of the pain all together. She is worried and so am I. What do you recommend?

Brief Answer:
Clinical examination

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
According to your description there is possibility of some injury to tail bone or local soft tissues. If infection superimposes on injury, pain can persist.
As she is having pain since one week, better to consult gynecologist once and get examined.
By clinical examination and if needed X ray of pelvic bones covering the tail bone, the possible cause of the problem can be identified and treated.
In case of minor problem, regular analgesics and anti inflammatory drugs can help.
Coccyx cushion can help in relieving pain while sitting.
Take care.
