Question: H.aving back pain after eating. Has been happening for the past couple of days. saw a GI a couple of weeks ago and thought it may be an ulcer. at the time, I really wasn't having any back pain. Have been experiencing constipation as well. GI put me on pantoprazole. Get headaches after eating along with body pain. And may even my teeth give me a dull pain after eating, it's weird. Had some labs done to check amylas3, lipase and LFTs. Only Lipase was high at 72. what should my next steps be?

Brief Answer:
I recommend as next step to do abdominal ultrasound, endoscopy and CT scan...

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concern.

It's true what you are experiencing is associated with gastrointestinal problems. Based on the test reports and on the back pain after eating my opinion is that your symptoms are associated with pancreas disease.

If you were my patient as the next step I would recommend the following examinations :
- Abdominal ultrasound
- Upper endoscopy
- Abdominal CT scan

This examinations are necessary to find out the exact etiology of your symptoms.

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!

Brief Answer:
I strongly suggest to do abdominal ultrasound as soon as possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

I strongly suggest to do abdominal ultrasound as soon as possible. It can be done on emergency room. If it is normal than you can wait for appointment for the other two examinations (upper endoscopy and abdominal CT scan).

Wish you health!
