Brief Answer:
You seem to have Congenital PUJ Obstruction.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have congenital Pelvi Ureteric Junction Obstruction.(PUJ Obstruction).

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.

1) Was intravenous Pyelography (IVP)done before surgery ?
2) Was DTPA Scan done before surgery to assess kidney function on affected side .?

The persistent pain after surgery could be due to an obstruction still being there or surgical stricture at the site of repair.

Consult operating surgeon and get IVP done again to find out the cause of pain .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
