What Causes Pain During Intercourse?

default
Posted on Tue, 10 Jun 2014
Question: I am 28 year old healthy male. I have been married for past 10 months but we have not consummated yet. I am not sure if my wife has any interest in sex.she indulges herself only after my insistence but this act has been limited so far to foreplay and unsuccessful attempts of penetration. she says she feels enormous pain whenever I try to penetrate. its been almost a year devoid of sex and I feel very frustrated.
I tried lubricants K-y Gelly but this did not help either.
At this point of time , I am disappointed and feel sometimes annoyed with myself.

can you suggest if I should buy some expensive lubricants like waterjelly or silicon jelly which are available in the market?

or should my wife be seen my a doctor? please let me know which doctor? a gyeno or sexologist. need your help. thanks!

Brief Answer:
Consult a sexologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for choosing wwwhealthcaremagic.com
Your wife may have reduced interest due to underlying Depressive disorder which will increase her fear of pain and vice versa so a vicious cycle is established, one factor worsening the other . The other reason could be her genuine fear of pain , not of psychogenic reason but some physical issue. It will need to be seen by a sexologist . so no jelly will work till her fear is allayed and vaginal opening is dilated a bit. This can be done by a qualified sexologist because most gynecologists are unaware of this issue. We take about 7-10 days for the problem, depending on the severity . Some times, prolonged spasm may need botox inj in cases due to lichen planus .
