Brief Answer:
Pain and swelling can increase for few days.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The swelling and the pain in the knee can increase immediately after the injection. This will gradually decrease in next few days. Feeling of warmth in the knee is suggestive of an inflammation. You need to continue taking the pain killers and do a hot compress in the area and see if it helps.
You can keep the leg elevated on two pillows and avoid weight bearing on the knee. In case the pain is gradually increasing and is excruciating or sharp pain then you need to consult your orthopedician to rule out other related complications.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
