Question: I HAD LT EYE SURGERY FOR RETINA. CATERACT . AFTER THAT EVERY TIME I TRY TO MOVE MY EYE FAST FEELS LIKE MY MASCLE IN LET SIDE OF EYE AND INSIDE OF EYE ARE PULLING AND GIVE ME PAIN.. IS THIS RELATE TO MY RETINA SURGERY? I JUST WENT TO MY EYE DR. (MD) FOR YEARLY CK UP HE SAID HE COULDN'T SEE BUT I SHOULD FOLLOW UP WITH RETINA DR.

Cause for this pain and feeling of muscle pulling may be related to eye surgery. It is a reported problem post-operatively and needs reevaluation by your Retina Surgeon.

It may be managed once properly diagnosed. Your Eye Doctor may have evaluated the ciliary muscles and lens attachments, muscles of the eye ball and their integrity. He hasn't found anything wrong with them. That's his reason for referral. It can also be related to nerve supply of muscles of eye. These are the areas of investigation by your Retina Doctor.
