Question: what causes orange stringy stool I was having some indigestion and my sister suggested nexium so I have been takeing it for four days will that cause stool changes?

Yes, Nexium can cause stool changes. Please note that in normal condition stomach acid destroys most of bacteria present in food. It kind of sterilizes the food. Now Nexium is a medicine which decreases stomach acid production. Less stomach acid, greater chance to pass some bacteria to intestines.
Orange stringy stool can be a symptom of such mild infection.
I suggest you to start probiotic intake and your stool should normalize. If no improvement will be present, stool test should be done.
