What Causes Orange Colored Urine While Having Treatment For TB?

Question: Hai Doctor.
Further to previous discussion on my Semen TB treatment for my infertility.For the last 02 weeks , i was taking AKT4 tablet. For last 02 days, i am feeling severe pain in right leg toe area.Doctor advised me to check uric acid level which showing 11.3 ( high) and advised to take tablet ( Febutaz 40 )for next 03 months daily one .He is telling it is a side effect for AKT 4.Now sometimes urine and motion color is like orange color.Its all the side effect is normal and how to encounter them

Yes, they are due to ATT.

Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
Orange coloured urine, stools and sweats are also because of Anti tubercular treatment (ATT).
You got hyperuricemia because of that only.
You should carry on with Febutaz as advised by your doctor.
You don't need to worry for yellow discoloration of your body fluids.
I would also advise you to get a Liver function and Kidney Function tests done after 2 weeks of starting it to rule out any evidence of ATT induced hepatitis and kidney dysfunction.

Thanks for your guidance. At the start of treatment, i tested complete LFT ( Liver function test ) which is normal.After 45 days of treatment, he advised to take liver function test only ( not kidney function test ) after further medicine.Also he suggested to take Folic acid tab ( once in a day ) , Neurorubina forte Tab ( Vitamin B1, B6, B12 - 2times daily ).
Whether i am in right direction of treatment.Medicine is also increase my mental stress

If your LFT has been evaluated after starting ATT then its all right. You also need to take the supplement advised to you. Your Treatment regarding ATT is going in right direction.
Stop taking stress. I understand these medicines are heavy and always cause problems.
