What Causes Numbness In Lips?

Question: Hi It started with the feeling of wanting to wipe sweat from both sides of nose about 2 months ago but none there and the odd numbness in lips. Now the right of my face has got ton worse with flashes of heat , numbness with head acres ( not every day tho) now for last couple of weeks my the top of my nostrils have been very dry and irriteded and feels like the soft pallett in mouth is very dry and sore too. Doctor can see no nasel polops and gave me nasal cream. Now looking at top of mouth I have couple of small red marks. Jaw also been aching . Must add I do think the numbness might be related to bang on head o6 months ago although ct scan was normal, and seen ent guy in XXXXXXX regsrds sore throat (down throat and he had had no concerns. Does this sound concerning

Thanks for your query.
Gone through the whole history of your head-injury 6 months ago and present symptoms for the last 2 months.

There is a gap of 4 months , that is why it is difficult to correlate both the things.

Your problem appears more like of a neurological origin than the actual ENT one.

I would advise you to for for a fresh MRI of the brain including that of the Trigeminal nerve.

I hope you have no issues of diabetes or hypertension or thyroid problem.

You need to consult a Neurologist more than the ENT Specialist.
