Brief Answer:
Probably nerve entrapment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
One cause of numbness in a confined area may be entrapment of nerve supplying this area.
Another cause may be vessel thrombosis of leg.
Last one can be accompanied by other findings like swelling and flushed in that area.
More information is needed about your concern.

Have you had issues like this before?
Do you have any known spinal issues?

I have had something similar about 10 years ago and it was on the same leg but this time it was between the ankle and just below the knee. It lasted about 1 month or so that I had numbness and then it went away.

I have had recent blood tests done as a routine follow up as well as a CT scan of my skull (following a bad fall and hitting my head) as well as an ECG (all on Nov 19th) and the results were all good.

My fear is MS although there is no trace of MS on both my mom's side and father's side of the family.

Thanks for your information,
XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
It is not Multiple sclerosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for asking again.
In my opinion there is no correlation between your symptoms and MS.
It seems like single nerve disfunction or mono neuropathy, and causes of it may be entrapment syndrome, metabolic and toxic diseases, trauma, lumbar herniated discs disease, degenative column disease or nerve lesions, but not MS.
A neurological consult and maybe a nerve conduction study could show the true nature of your concern.
Wishing you good health.
