Question: my nose is bleeding im on cumadin what i do to stop

Hi,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic. The initial steps to be taken are to pinch your nose at the fleshy part just above the nostrils. Sit down and lean forward and breathe through your mouth this will avoid blood draining down your throat. Apply an ice pack to the bridge of your nose. Continue this for 30 minutes and use a clock to time this. If the bleeding has not stopped after this time, go to the ED.
You may need your nose to be packed to stop the bleeding.
