What Causes Nodules On Adrenal Glands And Lungs?
Question: I have been told I have two nodules on my adrenal glands and have one nodule on my lungs. I have never smoked or drank alcohol. My history is asthma, diabetes, atrial fibrillation and congestive heart failure. I am 65 years old and my family doctor has sent me to see an endricrinologist and all she did was take blood and give me an injection of cortisol. I called her office and said what should I do now? The secretary called me back and said all tests were negative and come back to see the endrincologist every three months. Do nothing right now. Also, the lung doctor told me I am benign and come back in three months. I am on these medications, water pill call lasix dilitiaziam, metropolo, warfarin, allopurinol, and Crestor for cholesterol also 40 units of insulin called lever il.or lever il. I don't like what the specialists are telling me. Should I get a second opinion?
Brief Answer:
Yes you need a second opinion.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam,
I understand your concern.
I have carefully gone through your medical history.
Yes obviously you need to go for a second opinion.
Blood test alone will not completely rule out nodule pathology.
I advise you to have a HRCT scan of the lung, and a contrast CT of the abdomen to determine if the nodules on adrenals belong to adenoma or not?
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
