What Causes Nausea, Sweating, Weakness, Lightheadedness, Persistent Diarrhea And Abdominal Pain?

Question: 3 weeks ago had onset of flu-like or food poisoning symptoms - nausea, sweating, general weakness, light headed, no consistent diarrhea but the first signs of that was negated by an Imodium tablet. This lasted 1 week, with symptoms mostly better around day 5.

However, the nausea and dull pain just to my right of my belly button remained for 2 more weeks. The abdominal pain remains today. Mild nausea still comes and goes every 2 days, typically with 3 onsets in any one day, and occasionally an entire day of just low grade nausea.

Is this timeline and persistent nausea typical for some of the less common bacterial toxins? And, do they ever completely go away? Occasionally, we read about some symptoms lingering if you have also been infected with x,y,z., i.e. tick bites.

Thank you many times in advance for considering my symptoms.

Brief Answer:
Cholecyst issues to rule out

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

The symptoms you are experiencing might be related to possible cholecyst issues. Before we consider toxins, I think we need to first exclude gall bladder issues. I need to know if you have run any test such as abdominal ultrasound or liver function test to evaluate cholecyst and liver function.

For the moment, I advise to :
- take probiotics
- eat often and small portions
- avoid fatty / chilly foods
- take antacids after meal

Hope it was of help!
