Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query. It is true that Pravastatin ,like other statins ,can cause myopathy as a side effect. This is inflammation of muscles ,causing symptoms like pain, soreness, muscle weakness ,fatigue, cramping.
In this case the CK level should be tested. An elevated CK level would suggest myopathy. The treatment consist on stopping the Statin until the symptoms resolve completely. It may take up to 1-2 months for the symptoms to resolve.

Since there are a lot of conditions that can cause such symptoms,I would suggest to consult your doctor for proper evaluation,to exclude other possible causes.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any question.I would be happy to help.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati
