default
Posted on Thu, 9 Oct 2014
Question: I am 68 years old. I have been having what feel like muscle spasms on left side of my abdomen. Feel like a slight spasm, no pain, not constant just occasional. My father had the surgery when he was about the same age as I am now. Should I worry? It has XXXXXXX going on since Sunday evening after I went out and hit about 50 golf balls. Or am I just nuts for worrying?

Brief Answer:
Musculo skeletal pain.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to health care magic.
I am Dr. Ganesh.

1. The symptoms and history of physical activity suggest me that its a musculo-skeletal pain, due to muscular strain.

2.The treatment in this will be - Muscle relaxant available on counter medicine with out prescription and apply it in a message manner on the involved area and give some rest / relax for a day or two. According to me that should help.

3.Depending on what surgery you dad had - if its some thing cancerous or pre-cancerous, you can have a general checkup in regarding. But this situation doesn't suites there.

4.If symptoms does not get better after the cream then you may seek medical help with an abdominal ultrasound that will give a gross picture of the cause. Good luck.

Hope i have answered your query.
