What Causes Muffled Noise In Ears After Using Earwax Removal?

default
Posted on Wed, 4 Mar 2015
Question: Hi, based on the advice of the nurse at our factory, I purchased Debrox Earwax Removal Aid to get rid of excess earwax. I used it twice yesterday and since then it's been like walking around with earplugs in. I even washed out my ears again several times with water and that has not done much good. I slept on this to see if it would improve. While I can hear better now, everything is still muffled. Is this serious enough to go see a doctor or will it clear up on its own? THanks!

Brief Answer:
Retained wax needs to be cleaned out

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

The muffled noise is due to retained wax. My honest suggestion to you is to visit the doctor and get your ears evaluated and probably washed out. Please don't self medicate or use water. Doing this can worsen your problem.

Hope I have answered your query; I'll be available for the follow up queries.
