What Causes Mole Over Body Of A Person Who Uses Sunbeds?

Posted on Thu, 9 Jul 2015
Question: I'm concerned about this mole. I have previously been to my GP months ago and he said he sees nothing to worry about but from looking at pictures of normal moles I'm unsure whether this is normal. I do use sunbeds occasionally but I'm stopping due to being burnt. is this mole normal?

Brief Answer:
It looks completely normal mole.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to health care magic,
I understand your concern and saw the attached picture.

You seem to be having melanocytic naevus or mole over your body.

I would like to tell you that these lesion looks absolutely normal here.

It is just that some people are predisposed to develop many of these but these are completely harmless skin lesions and are also called 'beauty spots'.

These lesion should be a cause of concern only if there is a sudden increase in the size or if there is development of irregular border or irregular pigmentation.

In these conditions only, examination could be required otherwise it is completely normal to have a small black to brown lesion (mole) over the body.

In case it becomes bothersome, then you can get it removed by a dermatologist.

Hope this answers will be helpful.
Feel free to ask if you need any further clarification.
