What Causes Missing Periods With Spotting?

Question: Hi, I am not sexually active since October 2013. I am supposed to get my periods on 24th every month. In april, I got my periods on 27th which was normal. One week prior to period, i had some spotting. I skipped my period on May 27th 2014. However, on may 27th I got some spotting again but it didn't continue as a period. Today 13 XXXXXXX again, i got some spotting. Since i am not sexually active, I don't think I can be pregnant and I have not gained any weight as well. Instead i have lost 2 kgs. Please let me know what it might be due to. Is it possible that I am pregnant? But I am not sexually active at all since October 2013.

1) There is spotting seen around ovulation time also.

2) If the XXXXXXX 13 spotting is little and not like your period bleeding it is probably ovulation spotting and is normal. Dont worry about it.

Hi,

But i skipped my period on may 27th with a little spotting. I had shifted to a new city in that month. Is city change and change in normal routine the possible reason for a skipped period?

Thanks for the response. I had spotting along with my skipped period also in may 27. I had passed it along with urine. Can u please let me know what it could be?

Hi

That was your normal menstrual cycle but with less flow. This or skipping of periods both happen when in stress or settling in new place as in your case.
