Question: I have slight to medium pain when I get a pedicure - especially in the big toe. What can I use to avoid this pain during a pedicure? I am concerned about side effects as well.

Hi XXXX

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
How was your day?

Hope this message finds you in good health.

I have gone through your query in detail and understand your concern.
If the pain is mild to medium, and if it occurs during the pedicure, then i guess, there wont be any major underlying pathology...or else the pain would have been continuous.

another possiblity is of raised blood uric acid levels, that may cause pain in great toe.

you can take any safer analgesic like tramadol, tapentolol or piroxicam, etodolac which are considered to be the safest, and wont cause much harm to the kidneys or liver as these have minimum side effects. Take the tablet atleast 3 hours prior to pedicure.

the day when u get pedicure, early morning do hot fomentation of the foot with lukewarm water. this will reduce the inflammation and cause very negligible pain when u go for pedicure.

You should eventually get back to normal in coming few days.Nothing to worry about.

I hope your question has been answered.
