What Causes Lower Back Pain And Tiredness?

default
Posted on Thu, 9 Jun 2016
Question: I have been experiencing lower back pain which I think is linked to an issue with my gall bladder. When I eliminate my upper body has intense heat and it feels like I am burning up from the inside. From sites on the internet I believe that it has something to do with my back pain also. I also notice I am more tired than usual and have a shakieness in me that wasn't there before. I exercise 3-6 days a week and also bicycle and do yoga. I am 70 years young. Please let me know if you need further information to at least give me advice about whether I need to see a doctor immediately or can wait until he is in on Tuesday. Thanks

Brief Answer:
Gall bladder usually upper abdominal pain. Could be slip disc

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

Gall bladder issues usually cause right side upper abdominal pain, associated with belching, flatulence and foul smelling stools. Low back pain can be caused by kidney infection, kidney stones and slip disc.

It is advisable to avoid bending forwards or lifting weights. Apply hot packs to the painful regions intermittently. Take Diclofenac and Thicolchicoside combination twice a day for 5 days after meals and Tablet Ranitidine 150mg twice a day for 5 days before meals. Drink 2 litres of water daily. Get an Xray of the lumbosacral spine and Kidney ureter bladder and review with me.

You can consult a Gastroenterologist to rule out Gall bladder conditions.

It is not urgent to meet your Doctor but you can start the above mentioned treatment by yourself as necessary till you meet your Doctor and you shall feel better.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Regards,

Dr. Aashish Raghu
