What Causes Lower Back Pain And Dark Urine With A History Of Kidney Stone?

default
Posted on Thu, 10 Apr 2014
Question: I have a history of Kidney Stones and I have noticed some pain in my lower back and sides, as well as Dark urine that somewhat seems to smell and a bit uncomfortable. At the moment the pain is dull and seems to come and go, but with my history I am worried it is going to get worse. Should I wait until it gets worse, or go get it checked out? I don't want to go to the ER if the pain subsides, however I'm also aware of my history and what it may be.

Brief Answer: Go to ER as soon as possible.... Detailed Answer: Hi, You have history of kidney stones. The problems you are facing might be related to kidney stones or severe infection. I highly recommend to go to ER as soon as possible for further evaluation. If nothing worrisome would result from ER examinations, then, should schedule an appointment with nephrologist (kidney disease specialist) for further evaluation and proper treatment.
