Thank you kindly for that answer. I've been having a lot of problems, and in the pathology report was that there was a loss of glands, I didn't understand what that meant. I'm attaching the image of the report for you to review. There was mild inflammation, yet at that time I was passing blood. It's been 2 months now and the pain is intensifying.

Today I was once again at our local hospital, small town, and they contacted the city specialist. I don't see them until mid March. I've lost 40 pounds in 2 months, it's painful to eat, and constant pain that is severe in my lower left abdomen. I've also started having bladder spasms, which my urologist believes is the diverticula rubbing my bladder.

In the colonoscopy I had they did see diverticula, as well as on the cat scan. But I wasn't given a treatment plan, and as I've said I don't see a specialist until mid March.

They prescribed delaudid for pain today, buscopan as well. I feel lost, as my condition has worsened, and with the weight loss I'm getting worried.

Brief Answer:
Inflammation likely to be due to infection

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms

Thanks for providing the reports. Going by description possibility of infective etiology like Amoebiasis needs to be considered. Diagnosis can be confirmed with stool examination. I would suggest you the following

1. Empirical therapy with antibiotic : As it will be long before you see specialist in big town, trial of Metronidazole thrice a day for 10 days will be helpful

2. Ensure good intake of water : 2 to 3 liter a day

3. High fiber diet : 2 servings of vegetable salad and 2 servings of fruits especially citrus fruit will ensure adequate intake of fiber in diet.

4. Avoid carbonated / alcohol / caffeinated beverage

5. Ensure intake of meals on time

6. Continue medication as advised

Take care
