Question: My 88 year old father who has Type 2 Diabetes suddenly lost all taste buds and has a pain in eye and blurred vision. Eye does hurt. He had Lasix 10 years ago. Also recently had TAVR aortic valve replacement. Should he go to ER. He stubbornly lives alone

Yes he definitely need to go to ER. These are the symptoms of possible/imminent Stroke and if immediate medical care is not given he may sustain a full blown stroke leading to either Paralysis or loss of vision or speech/swallowing difficulty.
