What Causes Lines On The Nail?

Question: lines on my nail appeared about a week ago, (no trauma), should i be worried ?

in photo may be it is not very clear, lines are quite pale (appear only week ago). There are two parallel lines, covering whole nail longitudinally including the base part, but i don not think there is pigmentation on my skin. (İf it concerns, i am quite light skinned) / (i have no health problems, or fungal problems on my nails so far )

Hi,

Thanks for the image and description.

Image does show a sign, but a better image would have helped me well.

Based on the description and image, I believe you to have zinc deficiency. The lines you have can be seen in the initial stages. In severe cases the nail surface becomes too irregular and sometimes brittle too.

Taking zinc supplements will solve the problem. Sooner you take the supplements better is the recovery.

One capsule Becozinc per day taken after breakfast for 2 months will be ideal treatment.
