Question: Yesterday i started hurting in my left side under my ribs and my skin feels like it is raw/burning. I thought it might be my gall bladder but was told i would hurt on my right side. Do you have any idea?

Brief Answer:
Kidney, stomach or large intestine can give pain in this location.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Gallstones give right upper abdominal pain indeed.
Left side is where kidney, large intestine and a part of stomach are located. Any issue of this structures can cause such pain.
Kidney pain can be caused by an infection or stone. Pain usually radiates downward to leg or groin. Burning while urinating, frequent urinating can be also present.
Stomach pain is a dull pain. It appears after a meal. Nausea and lack of appetite can be present.
Large intestine can give a pain in this area especially due to diverticulitis (however the pain is usually lower) or even some lump. Bloating, thin stools, constipation can be also present.

I suggest you to consult your doctor. Blood work, abdominal ultrasound and urine analysis should be done at first. Colonoscopy should be scheduled and gastroscopy considered.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
