Brief Answer:
Can be T-M joint arthritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain that is restricted to only one T-M joint is likely to be due to arthritis. It can be related to tight jaw muscles, muscle spasm or a dental infection or impacted tooth.
All the causes need to be ruled out after a direct examination. Till then avoid opening your mouth too wide, do a hot compress in the area and take an oral muscle relaxant after getting it prescribed from your physician for relief.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
