Sir thank you for followup on this question. THIS PROBLEM POPPED UP RECENTLY. I did not know when because I noticed the knuckle on my right little finger on the outside had a prominent rise. tHIS PUZZLED ME BECAUSE IT HAS NO PAIN. ABSOUTELY NONE. I AM regarded as a healthy person but when I TOOK MY ANNUAL blood work the followup Doctor read my report and said I was to take multiple vitamin D3 WHICH i WAS LOW ON. I take other vitamins but not every day. Vitamin B12/, reavertrol.cocoanut oil, . I also have taken bitter melon, immutol. CinCulin with chrominex.letichin. Ionly take D3/4000 miligrams daily as recommended by the LIFE-EXTENSION Doctors whom I REALIZE NOW JUST WANT TO SELL VITAMINS FROM THE LIFE EXTENSION VITAMIN COMPNY. Now I have big knuckles anyway from popping them when I was a childut this is something otherwise. THANX

Brief Answer:
Nothing to bother if there is no pain

Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam,
Sorry for delay, I have done a little research on this condition. Knuckle enlargement can be due to arthritis and also seen in fibromyalgia, but as you said there is no pain so I do not think you need to be worried about this. I assume at your age it is arthritis of interpalangeal joints which is causing these enlarge knuckle.
I would suggest you to continue vitamin D3 (also add Calcium) tablets as it prevent bone weakening and helps in arthritis.
Taking vitamin B 12 is also good as it improve nerve health.
Bitter melon, coconut oil all these good for health but about them, you need to discussed with your dietitian. There is no direct medical role of all these food supplements.
Again I want to assure you that knuckle enlarging is not a serious thing. So you can just keep an eye on it. Nothing else needs to be done.
If there is any pain in any knuckle, you can get a steroid shot in that knuckle.
Let me know if you want to ask any other question. Thanks .
