Brief Answer:
Can be related to alcohol

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

The symptoms you are facing can be related to the binge drinking

Kidney issues because of stones usually recovers without much damage. However there are chances of recurrence of the stone in the setting of alcohol intake. Alcohol is one of the causes for renal stone

More than liver it is possible that it is pancreas, heavy drinking can lead to inflammation of the pancreas. The other possiblity is acute gastritis

I would like you to undergo the following test

1. Ultrasound abdomen and pelvis
2. renal function and liver function test
3. Serum amylase and lipase ( test for pancreas)

I hope I was of help,if you have any further queries please get back to me

Thankyou Doctor,

My answers:

(1) I dont know the name of medicine as i was having hydrocele and i dont want to go to doctor as my parents will know about it and i was very shy for that. So, i went to a pharmacist who gave me ONE green colour tablet which costs around 33 Rupees.

(2) I took it only one night after food and after two days my urine colour gone bloody and on the third day i got severe pain in kidneys and ultrasound scan showed swollen kidneys with stone. The swelling relevied after almost a month or two and after that usually whenever i use to drink less liquid i will have a little burning sensation.

(3) After this episode i did ultrasound somewhere 4 times and out of which 3 times i found 3mm stone in kidneys which is not obstructing.

(4) When i use to have less liquids, i use to feel a little discomfort in kidney area and little ache on my legs.

(5) Other than the above said, i dont feel any other symptoms pertaining to kidneys.

Brief Answer:
Not related to otc drugs

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for getting back with the details. Here is what I think

1. It is difficult to tell what the medication could have been, however taking it for just three days will not cause renal damage
2. There is nothing to be shy about hydrocele
3. It is normal to have discomfort and burning when one takes less liquids, no treatment is required for it
4. I suggest you to drink plenty of water, tender coconut water
5. avoid dehydration, stones can become bigger when you restrict water

I hope I was of help, if you have any further doubts please get back to me . I will be replying in the evening, I have a renal transplant today so it will take a while
