Question: I have joint aches, fatigue, and elevated pulse rate. BP is normal. Had Lyme disease 4 years ago. Could this be recurrence? Also some sex dysfunction. Age 71 male

Related your concern you should know that if Lyme disease is not diagnosed and treated early, the spirochetes can spread and may go into hiding in different parts of your body and weeks, months or even years later(as you have), patients may develop problems with the brain and nervous system, muscles and joints, heart and circulation, digestion, reproductive system, and skin. Symptoms may disappear even without treatment and different symptoms may appear at different time.
So, I think that these symptoms could be related to the recurrent Lyme diseases and I suggest to meet an ID specialist to do a physical examination and lab test in order to define better the diagnosis and to start a prompt treatment.
