What Causes Itchy Toes And Lengthy Toe Nail?

default
Posted on Mon, 4 Aug 2014
Question: I have weird looking tonails, my pinkie toenail actually grows thick as well as length. Between toes get itchy after long periods of moisture (socks, hockey skates, work boots, etc). Athletes foot spray helps with itching but doesnt improve toenails. What can I do to improve their appearance?

Brief Answer:
Nail fungus, take regular treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I have seen the attached pictures . You surely have a fungal infection of the toe nails .
You need to apply some topical antifungal agent like lotrimin af or lamisil over the affected nails regularly.
Avoid wearing close footwear as much as possible.
Do not apply any other cream or oil over feet.
In many patients, nail fungus responds to only topical treatment . In others, oral antifungals might be required as well.
