What Causes Itchy Sensitive Bumps Between Vaginal Opening And Anus?
Question: I have little bumps that are very sensitive and itchy on the outer skin between vaginal opening and anus (towards my right thigh almost where buttocks begins). I had an exam last week due to vaginal itching, discharge, and burn while urinating. I was given Metronidazole 500mg and have been taking for 4 days now. At the time of exam, I didn't have any bumps or sores. They developed a day or two after. The itching and burning while urinating have gone away. I have also been biking a lot but since have stopped because they hurt.

With biking, there is maceration and increased heart generation and humidity that favor the onset of superficial skin infections. This is most commonly in the form of folliculitis. However, if there are any areas of discoloration or a well defined rash, then we should suspect a possible fungal super infection.
For now, cleanse this area twice a day with an antiseptic solution like betadine. Try as much as possible to keep it dry, airy and clean. This will prevent any further aggravation of bumps and hasten healing.
Should this not help with 4-5days, please seek medical consultation for examination and management as it may be something else. also, you can send an image for more elaborate interpretation.
