What Causes Itchy Boils Around The Insect Bite?

Question: My Son (2.10 years) had a insect bite under is fore foot on 25th Dec. That area had become hard and there was small boils around. He only complained about scratching. Now the hard skin & the boils have gone, but he still complain of scratching mostly when he is sleeping.

If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to give him antihistaminic like syrup cetrizine 1 mg perkg body weight per day for 10-14 days.
Also apply calamine lotion on the affected area twice daily for 10-14 days.
This should resolve your problem.
