What Causes Itching On Thighs After Stopping L-Montus?
Question: 3 years back I had severe cold and congestion. It persisted. After it was cured I stated having a strange problem. I had breathlessness if I climbed stairs. Doctor prescribed L montus. I became normal. But moment I stopped taking the tablet the breathlessness came back. So continued the tablet one per day for a year. The I reduced 1/2 per day. No problem. But after 2 years the breathlessness stopped completely even I if did not take L montus. Instead I started having itches in thighs and scrotum. Now I take quarter tablet of L montus once in three days. But on fourth day if do not take the next quarter tablet I start having itches.

The problem of breathlessness has now become one of itching. How come a problem of lungs (breathlessness) has become one of itching?To prevent itching I am taking now a quarter of L montus tablet once in three days. Will such dosage have any side effects? Whom shall I consult - dermatologist or allergist ? Further around the scrotum in both the thighs I am having some dark patches. Are they indicative of fungal infection? Kindly answer.

2. L- Montus tablet once in three days will not cause any side effect, hence no need to worry.
3. Dark patches over the scrotum associated with itching most commonly indicate fungal infection which is common in that area because of sweating and moisture.
