Question: Well this pass Wednesday I rubbed my left eye because it was itching me and then I noticed afterwards that I started feeling discomfort on the outer corner of my left eye where both the eyelids meet. It feels like something is in there but when I check nothing is there and I can feel It every time I blink.

Brief Answer:
eye irritation

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
Such irritation may be due to two reasons. Original cause as well as rubbing may lead to small abrasion which leads to such irritation for a while.
Warm compresses may lead to some comfort and lubricant eye drops are safe and helpful in such situations.

So give me an estimate time overall that it fully heals because right now it feels dry on that specific area on the outer corner of my eye and its only in that area that its dry and it wasnt dry before i started rubbing it. Why is this ?

Brief Answer:
48 hours to heal.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,
Usually 48hours is enough to heal the initial lesion, , you may need to continue with lubricant eye drops for a while as some irritation may persist for a longer period of time.
