Question: urine infection/itching in vagina since last two months. taken norflox for five days. then applied a cream given by gynea. then again applied a vaginal cream for virus infection for five days . no relief. then taken ayurvedic medicines for 10 days. now finally started with flavospas and nitrofurantoin capsules for last three days. still feels sensation . what is this.

Possible Polymicrobial infection.Second line agents will help.

Hello, Madam.

I can certainly understand your concern.

You seem to have mixed polymicrobial resistant infection.

For this, I advise you to get a urine culture and sensitivity along with vaginal smear.

The possibility of trichomoniasis is also high.

2nd like antifungal agents and first line Antiprotozoal agents will help.

I generally recommend my patients oral tablets of Itraconazole and Metronidazole for 1 week.Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe them to you.

Update me test reports.

Please note to take antibiotics only after giving tests for urine culture sensitivity and smear.
