Well you will just have to try hard to avoid scratching it. As for the prescription strength for both the topical applicants, there is no different dosage. They both come in only one fixed strength and should be used on a clean and dry surface of the skin that is affected.

I do not feel you should have a problem to get your hands on any of the above mentioned medications from a pharmacy, including protopic or any other brand containing the same ingredients (i.e. tacrolimus).
