Brief Answer:
Muscles getting warmed up

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Early morning or after sleep, the body is cold and needs to get warm. This leads to muscle twitching, or increased muscle activity along with increased metabolism to give a warm feeling.

2. This is normally seen like a chill. When you start relaxation and breathing, muscles relax and it stops. Not to worry.

3. Its not to be worried about.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.

This does not feel like muscle activity, it is more like the feeling of a cell phone vibrating. It can be anywhere or sometimes everywhere in my body, including in my head. It is not visible. It occurs after I have become conscious but am not fully awake. I have consulted my internist, a neurologist, and a hematologist because bloodwork revealed cold agglutinin disease 2 years ago. A bone marrow test showed no underlying cause such as lymphoma, and the hematologist says there is no connection to the vibrating sensation. He checks my blood every 4-6 months and to date everything is fine. I am more annoyed and puzzled by this feeling than worried. No MD has an explanation and I'm afraid they think I'm just imagining it, which I am not.

Brief Answer:
Need nutritional supplements for demyelination possibility

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

These symptoms does not appear to be related to cold agglutinin disease. Yes, as your hematologist has correctly said, there should be no relation. As the bone marrow examination was negative, it could be benign cold agglutinin disease - presenting without any disease.

Early morning - cell phone vibrating could be due to spurt in neural activity. Neural activity alone cannot cause it, and muscles should be involved. Neural activity spurt, affecting certain group of muscles, so the symptoms could be at different locations, like body or head.

If present for a longer time, evaluation would be easier. As it is benign and occurs early in morning and very briefly, we need to think of excessive neural activity.

Demyelination of nerve can cause it - usually secondary to Vit B12 and folic acid deficiency.

You need to take Vit B12 and folic acid supplements regularly for a month, atleast to notice any improvement. I cannot think of any other options, as you have consulted most of the MDs.

Hope it helps.
