Brief Answer:
amblyopia with alternating squint

Detailed Answer:
I understand your concern, but your son is being treated rightly. He has already developed amblyopia in one eye. Fortunately the age patch treatment is being tried. After he regains vision in the lazy eye and he start using it sufficiently, this alternating squint will get rectified. You have to keep patience. This is the only treatment available.
