What Causes Intermittent Headache, Nausea, Lower Back Pain And Tiredness?
Question: For a week off and on I have a dull headache, nausea, lower back ache and very tired.

Based on the history you have shared, if back pains are in both flanks where kidneys are, and with nausea, headaches and tiredness, the chances of kidney pathology like stones as you have suspected remain high and should be ruled out on X-ray and ultrasound KUB but urinalysis for urinary tract infection should also be sought along with complete blood counts and CRP as well as renal function tests to look for causes of obstructive uropathy or acute kidney injury. It's better to continue taking water and get it reviewed by a urologist.
Using analgesics like acetaminophen along with anti spasmodic like Drotaverine may help. For nausea Dimenhydrinate can be used orally. If signs of urinary tract infection is evident on work up, it may need a course of antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin along with further urine culture analysis to decide for exact choice of antibiotics (please get the necessary prescription from your local physician).
