Brief Answer:
PPI, Antacid, Upper GI Endoscopy if required.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Male/40 - burning type pain - in stomach - tried antacids - comes and goes - manageable - almost a week - not relieved...
Burning type pain in stomach that comes and goes is most probably due to acidity related problems like gastritis.
I would advise you to add PPI like Omeprazole.
Take antacid every three hourly, particularly when on empty stomach.
Soft and bland diet, small frequent meals.
Avoid any other factors that instigate or enhance the problems like aerated drinks, tea, coffee, smoking drinking if you are doing and see the results.
Please give feedback.
May need upper GI Endoscopy if the above measures fail to relieve the problems.
