What Causes Intense Thirst While Having Fasting Blood Sugar Level 92 Mg/dL?

Question: Hi,

Since last few months I have started feeling thirsty and frequently urinating. Initially I thought it might be due to high sugar, so I got my blood sugar tests done and found that the Fasting Sugar Level was 92 and Post Meal Sugar level was 89.
Please suggest what could be other possible reasons for frequently urinating and feeling thirsty and what other test should I get done to reach to a conclusion.
Will appreciate a quick response.

Thanks,

There can be many causes of for frequent urination and then feeling thirsty and drinking more water, The causes can include urinary tract infection, electrolyte imbalance, diabetes insipidus, medicines like diuretics, non-specific urethritis, psychogenic polydipsia, etc.

To start with you should get a complete urine examination and serum electrolytes done. It will rule out some basic causes.
